Yes, I know, it is not a common combination for a muffin, but I hope you try these apple and thyme muffins. I’m pretty sure you’re going to love them very much.

Just think about it, apples and thyme are a match made in heaven. They work perfectly well in savory dishes, so why not in a treat? These apple and thyme muffins have maple syrup instead of sugar, apple chunks, cinnamon and the freshness of thyme. Don’t they sound like the perfect bite?

I know these flavors are slowly coming together in your head. Caramel, cinnamon, apple, maple syrup, and that fresh touch of thyme all in just one bite. YUM! At my house, these muffins are a huge hit. As soon as I take them out of the oven, they disappear. I’m obsessed with them!

And I also love that my kids love them. Don’t you love when your kids eat healthy treats and are willing to try different flavor combinations? This is why these muffins are my favorite; they have apples and thyme, both filled with amazing nutritional benefits. Apples are delicious and a powerhouse in health benefits, flavor, texture.

And better yet if you have Autumn Glory Apples from Superfresh Growers. I mean each bite from Apple Glory Apples is a dream come true, as my daughter Romina says. These apples have a firm flesh with caramel notes and subtle hints of cinnamon. They are juicy, crunchy and bake amazingly well.
And thyme also has superpowers, do you know that it has a compound that helps us improve our mood?

But let me just give you the recipe for these apple and thyme muffins and I hope you like them as much as we do. If you make them don’t forget to take a picture of them and post it to Instagram with #alecooks and @piloncilloyvainilla. You could also save it for later on Pinterest, they make the perfect treat for Sunday’s brunch or as an afternoon snack.
