This pumpkin granola tastes like pumpkin pie. It is crunchy, full of fall flavors and all the seasonal ingredients, including pecans, pumpkin seeds (pepitas), and flavorful maple syrup.
This pumpkin pie-flavored granola is also perfect as a healthier substitution for a pumpkin pie.
pumpkin granola with Autumn flavors
This pumpkin granola is easy to make, and your home will smell delicious. The smell of fall flavors like cinnamon, pumpkin spice mix, and roasted nuts will make you feel so cozy and comfortable you won’t want to leave your home.
Now you know why this pumpkin pie-flavored granola is perfect for fall because it has all the warm flavors of the season: the spices, textures, and ingredients typical of this time of year.

Pumpkin GRANOLA INGREDIENTS
- Rolled oats. Use whole oats. If you are on a gluten-free diet, check the labels, and make sure the brand you are buying is certified for this. If you want it to be even more nutritious, look for sprouted oats. I like the OneDegree brand, but either works well.
- Pumpkin puree. I use canned puree, but you can use homemade pumpkin puree without a problem.
- Pumpkin pie spice mix. The needed spices are in the recipe card; if you have a purchased mix at home, use it.
- Coconut oil. It can be substituted for avocado oil.
- Maple syrup. You can use other sweeteners, such as agave or date syrup.
- Nuts and seeds. I use pumpkin seeds (pepitas) and walnuts in this recipe, but whatever you put in it will taste delicious.

How to make pumpkin granola?
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except nuts and pumpkin seeds.
- Mix all ingredients and place them on a tray prepared with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Put in the oven for 20 min. Rotate after ten minutes and mix on the baking tray, so it browns evenly. After 20 minutes, add the walnuts and pumpkin seeds and bake for 10 more minutes.
- It is ready when the oats begin to brown and start smelling delicious.
Tips for making the best granola
- How to store. This granola is best when freshly made. However, if you want to store it, it keeps well in a tightly closed jar in the pantry. Please wait until it is completely cooled before putting it into the jar.
- Use fresh ingredients and spices to make this granola; the newer the spices, the more potent their flavor and smell will be. So, your granola will be extra delicious.
- Make it your own. Use this recipe as a guide; if you want to change the spices or adapt it, feel free to do it. It will still be very good.
- Here are other of my favorite granola recipes:

- 5-minute stovetop granola

- Savory granola.

What can I DO if I have extra PUMPKIN puree?
If you open a can of pumpkin puree and you have some leftovers, there are different things you can do. You can make
- Pumpkin chocolate bread.
- Pumpkin scones with maple icing
- You can make soup or add it to pasta sauce.
- You can keep it in a container in the refrigerator or freeze it in ice cubes and take it out little by little to increase the nutritional value or flavor of other dishes.
