How to make a Spicy watermelon margarita?

To prepare the watermelon margarita, first, peel and cut the watermelon into large pieces. Then, put the watermelon pieces on a baking sheet with either parchment paper or a silicone mat and place it in the freezer. The watermelon will freeze in an hour or two, and you can do this step days or nights in advance.

The second step is to prepare the jalapeño simple syrup. Make sure to let it cool before putting it in the blender so that the margarita doesn’t thaw.

Next, prepare the rim of the glasses with salt. You can do this by rubbing a halved lime or lemon on the rim of each glass and then inverting the glass onto a plate with two tablespoons of salt. If you want an extra kick add one teaspoon of Tajín to the mix.

Finally, blend all the ingredients until smooth, taste while it is in the blender and adjust if needed. Serve. Garnish the glass with a lime wedge or slice and jalapeño slice. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your delicious watermelon margarita.

Notes

How to make Jalapeño Simple Syrup: 1/2 cup water+1/2 cup sugar +3 jalapeno slices. Put on medium heat until all the sugar dissolves, set aside and let it cool, remove the Jalapeño slices.
Making a Pitcher: Multiply the ingredients based on the number of servings you’d like. A typical pitcher can hold about 8 servings. Depending on the size of your blender, you might need to blend the margarita in batches. Make sure each batch is well-blended with a consistent icy texture.
Storing: If you plan to serve the margaritas within a few hours, keep the pitcher in the refrigerator. This helps maintain the flavor and prevents the ice from melting too quickly. For longer storage, you can keep the pitcher in the freezer. However, the texture might change slightly when thawed, as ice crystals can form and make the margarita grainier.
Refreezing: If you’ve made a lot of margaritas and haven’t served them all, you can freeze the remainder in large freezing cubes
