About this recipe
Yes, FIVE ingredients and only one pot are what you need to make this homemade cranberry sauce. Cranberry sauce is one of those things that’s easy to make at home, yet so many people opt for the canned version.
This homemade orange cranberry sauce recipe is tart and sweet and much better than anything you can find in a can. It only takes a few minutes to make your holiday meal much more special.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- One cinnamon stick
- One clove
- One orange, zest, and juice
How to make cranberry sauce with orange juice and cinnamon
Put all the ingredients in the sauce pot over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries are cooked. It takes about 15 minutes to be ready; let it simmer but do not boil
This sauce has very little liquid, so it won’t benefit from boiling. Taste and adjust for seasoning; I like to taste when it cools down a bit, and the flavors get a chance to marry.

- Serve in a shallow bowl at room temeprature
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge, it will last upto one month.
